A song. A smell. A place name. A sentence someone said years ago. Small things carry memory.
This project invites you to capture those moments in short pieces of writing—micro memoirs. Not full life stories. Just fragments that matter: a person, a room, a meal, a summer afternoon, something overheard, something lost, something suddenly remembered.
You’ll find prompts that invite you to remember and to write. Each prompt comes with a short example. Use it as a guide if it helps. Then write your own piece.
Think of each memory as a snapshot.
- Who was there?
- Where were you?
- What was happening?
- Why does it still stay with you?
The more attention we give memory, the more it gives back. Take a look.
